As an 18-inch crash cymbal, this Sabian HHX Thin naturally has the ideal size to serve as either a rhythm or accent cymbal. It's been given the HHX hammer treatment, which means that it was first hammered lightly, then lathed and finally densely hammered again for added tonal complexity and a darker sound. This, combined with a small bell, results in faster attack and more raw power for an outspoken, recognisable and greatly versatile tone. Feel free to take this HHX Series crash to a hip-hop gig on Friday, and use it to jam with your rock band the day after!
